Kaos: The Ride

Kaos was my first NXT ride. It is like a merry go round but it uses carts and spins extremely fast. Kaos spins around for a minute going backwards and forwards repeatedly. The circular shape used has been manipulated for other rides that needed a circular shape like Kaos. Hinge pieces were used to secure large beams together in a circle, then a brace was added so the circle wouldn't be flimsy. Kaos spins around with the help of a motor on it's side that was later recycled for Psyclone. The motor power on NXT-G is 70, so Kaos could still go a bit faster.

Kaos was a very basic ride and only took a few hours to build and program. It has proven to be one of my more popular robots most likely due to its vibrant colour scheme and fun theme. A video below demonstrates Kaos' abilities.
